Murphy USA fuels my body and my car

Christmas time means lots of busyness (not sure that’s a word) for pretty much everyone I know. We are all running on less sleep, less downtime, and less food. But our bodies are a temple and just like our car; it needs fuel to keep running and Murphy USA can provide the fuel. I  am from a small town in Oklahoma and we have very limited places to shop plus the shopping is in one area (less than 2 square miles), but for oh so important shopping we head to the nearest big town – Oklahoma City.  As we head out of town our last stop before the 45 minute drive is Murphy USA where I check in on Foursquare to check out specials I might be able to use, fill up on gas, and grab snacks for the road.

For this trip we were heading out after dark, but I was not concerned as Murphy USA keeps their stations well-lit and well stocked regardless of the time of day.  As I approached the snack counter area (which is actually two rows of multiple freestanding coolers) I see an abundance of choices, but my eyes are immediately drawn to the 2 for $1.00 Mars products stored in the cooler.  Is it worth is savings and the chocolate goodness to place my hand inside the cooler? After all; this particular night the cooler was just a few

degrees cooler than the air. But, in the blistering summer Oklahoma heat the chilled chocolate bars are WONDEFUL!

With our gas tank and our stomaches full we are off to finish up some last minute Christmas Shopping. I am sure this won’t be our last stop at Murphy USA either in my hometown or elsewhere. Are you wondering about the final tally of snacks?

Final Tally of snacks:

  • 6 candy bars (I did not eat them all some Santa will use as stocking stuffers)
  • 1 Monster Energy Drink
  • 1 Dr. Pepper
  • 1 Coke
  • 1 Bag of chips
  • 1 Pack of Gum

{Closed} Contest: LabelDaddy Ends December 22nd

LabelDaddy Giveaway hosted by Finance Diva

Step-by-step ordering instructions at the bottom of this post

LabelDaddy, a small business in California who provides custom peel & stick washable labels in a HUGE variety of sizes, shapes, quantities, and intended uses.  LabelDaddy is an authorized licensee of Disney and Marvel characters allowing them to offer labels with your kids favorite characters.  Spend a few minutes on the website and you will be saying, they have a label for everything.  My favorites are their Christmas labels and the zipper pulls

Finance Diva ordered a two packages of assorted sizes of Christmas Labels and had them imprinted with the name of Santa. The boys are old enough; its no longer enough for presents to show up under the tree after bedtime on Christmas Eve. Each of them are now looking for clues as to exactly how Santa came to deliver so many gifts in such a short period of time. We have always had Santa wrapping paper used only for presents deemed to have come from Santa, but we simply wrote the names of the boys on the paper.  This year we are using LabelDaddy to keep the magic of Christmas alive a bit longer in our house.  The order process is quick and easy the only bit of trouble I ran into was when using my coupon code.

Here is your chance to win $60 in LabelDaddy products. Contest runs from December 7th through December 22nd. There is only one Mandatory entry, everything else is optional! We are using Rafflecopter to collect entries and chose the winner. Click the green “I did this” button beside the follow @Nickelnm on Twitter option (after you follow me) and you will have 1 entry. The rest are optional, IF you chose to do them.
