For those of you who have been around since the beginning; this blog has changed and morphed and grown over the years. We continue to grow every day with the help of our readers! On August 2nd we added a second writer to our team. Jenni H is an avid couponer who routinely saves 60-80% off retail prices. Her inaugural post is aptly named: “Teach me how to coupon like you do” and I have been receiving several offers to guest post on other blogs (and get paid a bit of money for it).
I want to take a moment and thank those of you who have been around since the beginning and encourage you to continue to share our posts and provide feedback to us via comments and email. We love the interaction and the inspiration your comments bring us
I realize not everyone who reads the posts may have a need for our services or maybe you are like, Finance Diva, and want to amass the information and then complete the steps DIY style. For these people we are introducing a new ‘feature’ (not sure the correct name for it). We have created a Finance Diva ChipIn allowing anyone who wishes to pay for the advice received a method to be able to do so. Some of the money paid, might even be tax deductible. For example, when you pay someone to prepare your taxes for you, that amount of money can be deducted next year. Also, if you have a business and use the information in the course of your business it could be deductible as a business expense. In addition to the Chipin, many of the ads you see on the site are affiliate links to products we use, love, and recommend. Your clicks, purchases, and account openings help support the site.
We are planning on attending two blogging conferences later this year and well, conferences are expensive. Any money raised via this method is going to be utilized to bring you, the reader, a better Finance Diva experience. What do you think about this new feature?
