New Year, New Direction!

Okay so, its not quite January 2009 anymore.  But, it is 2009 and I have taken the past eight months and evaluated where I am as a person.  Where my writing is.  What I want to accomplish and how neglected my blog has become.  I become so wrapped up in being a mom and a wife – that I simply forgot that I was a person who had dreams and hopes.

I started to just take it down altogether and forget about it, but I find myself still talking to complete strangers both in the online world and in my day-to-day activities.  This told me; one important thing.  I am not ready to give up trying to sharing the information that I have learned through being the CFO of my family with the world.

So, starting TODAY!

This blog is going to widen its direction!

We are still going to talk about money and credit and how to get more money and better credit, but we are also going to talk about making smart decisions for your family and understanding that while you may not always pick the easiest or most popular route – you do have to the pick the one that is best for your family.

And the one that’s best for my family; is for me to continue to find way to increase my voice and my ability to broadcast my voice to the World Wide Web.

I took a baby step in this direction in March of 2009.  I volunteered to be a lecturer at the Annual Fort Lewis Women’s Conference.  I sent them a list of my qualifications and a list of topics that I felt would be fun to share and would enrich the lives of the women attending the conference.  The topic that was chosen for me was “Working from Home – Fact or Fiction”.  I decided that I would offer this one hour program twice during the day and each time I had good group of women.  And these women were not afraid to ask me questions – which I loved!

I will definitely volunteer next year – although not sure what my list of available topics will be.

Do you have topics that you would like to see covered?  If so, leave me a comment and let me know.

I digress; this blog is going to be about more than just money and credit.  Its going to be about taking the skills and the income we have and using it to the VERY best of our ability.  If this includes figuring out how to feed a family of four on $10.00/week. Then, that’s what we will talk about.

Maybe its battling the mortgage company for a loan modification ( I am doing that as I write this).  Or maybe you need a simple and effective way to increase  your monthly budget by $50.00/week without any upfront costs or risk.  Yup, I can help there as well!

As part of my “NEW YEAR, NEW DIRECTION!” Campaign (which is starting the Q3 of 2009) we will be debuting a new blog and website design.

So, Stay Tuned!
